About me…

Welcome! I’m Nicola, and live in Wiltshire with my 3 kids, headteacher husband and our joyful dog.

I have been holding space and gathering with women in circle both online and in-person near my home in Wiltshire since my training with Sister Stories during the Spring of 2022 (CPD trained in Circle Facilitation) .

I love to weave natures seasons and moon cycles into the spaces I hold and facilitate. I truly see circles as a radicle act and an essential balm to these wild times we are living in; slowing down, pausing, gathering and welcoming the silence in-between.

I joined my first circle in lockdown online and it was incredible to sit with other women who I’d never met and feel so connected to during a time where we were all socially distanced. It was also so freeing to be able to off-load all I was struggling with without any judgement.

I also had a taste of this kind of way of gathering during my 1st year of Shiatsu training in my early 20s and often craved that circle of sharing ever since.

Holding circles has just felt right despite being an introvert; gathering in this way feels incredibly soul nourishing for me. Being in circle is also my way of honouring my ancestors from the East and the West, especially my great grandmother Bei who practiced eastern plant medicine, knowledge passed down to her through the generations before her.

In my working history I co-founded a local charity working with and welcoming people seeking sanctuary (refugees/asylum seekers) to Swindon and managed the charity for 6 years. I still work in the charity sector part-time managing grant fundraising through trusts and foundations.

I love working with people and in local communities and have had an array of experience working in primary schools and with young people across South West England especially in areas of high deprivation. I’ve also supported adults with severe learning difficulties, worked in libraries and enjoyed taking my storytelling to various children across different faith groups when in London. In my early 20s I managed the Bristol shop and therapy rooms at Neal Yard Remedies where my love for herbs and plants grew.

I ‘m a creative, enjoying writing poetry, painting and singing and have poems published in ‘The Earth Pathways Diary’ as well as a piece of writing in author and illustrator Lucy Pearce’s book ‘Crow Moon’.

You’ll find me happiest when outside, walking my dog in the wild alone or with loved ones.

I cannot wait to sit beside you.
